REVIEW BY LIAM MURPHY OF "THE MUNSTER EXPRESS".

"What attracted me originally to Tom Fewer's collection of short stories, THE PAPER TIDE,was the wonderful sense of Waterford locations in some of the well-crafted stories. Tom Fewer is a Waterford-born writer and his sense of place is so good that the hint of recognition of location sends a shiver of anticipation before it....How Fewer handles the passage of time is excellent, especially in two very clever stories.

In LOOKING GOOD there is sexual longing, dancing the night away, and a short car journey covers thirty-five years of marriage. In NUMBER NINE you get a sense of birth, death, decades passing in one failed marriage and two homes later, all achieved in a masterful way.

In MOLLY he links a warm summer night in Montreal to a summer memory of learning to swim on Woodstown strand and of the curse of time and good intentions. Tom Fewer has written a fine evocative book."
